Welcome to Gloucestershire Lettering Arts (incorporating Glevum Scribes)

The Group for Lettering Artists in Gloucestershire

For the newest enthusiast, the committed amateur and the professional, or anyone with an appreciation of fine lettering as pure calligraphy or applied to textiles, glass and wood.

Meetings are held monthly and cover topics of interest to all - Materials, Historical Background, Workshops on Scripting, Gilding and Binding are just a few of the topics covered.

Visits to exhibitions, calligraphy suppliers and other places of interest feature in the programme.

Members are encouraged to take part in competitions and exhibitions of work and there are two annual awards.

A newsletter is sent to members approximately once every quarter
